I’m working through both Probability and Data Science for Social Sciences right now, and it’s kicking my ass. I should not have done two classes at once. My goal with the Micromasters was to use it to get into the Master’s at Harvard Extension, but now I’m thinking of just dropping the Micromasters.

In the spring of 2019, Peruvian social impact group Aporta launched the Advanced Program in Data Science and Global Skills. Through an education partnership with IDSS, these learners take courses in probability, statistics, machine learning, and data analysis offered through the MIT MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science.

This is obviously my opinion but I don't think it's an unusual one. That being said, I can't tell you whether the MIT MicroMaster courses are any good. The Georgia Tech ones are typically pretty strong. Data Science in collaboration with MITx MicroMasters program in Statistics and Data Science in collaboration with MITx. People and the systems around them are generating and storing data at an unprecedented rate and in massive volumes in almost every activity in science, society and industry. Statistics and Data Science MicroMasters is a series of graduate level courses that MIT provides through edX platform. The program comprises four online courses and a virtually proctored exam.
